Chronicle of the Body

"Chronicle of the Body" is a chronicle-embodied narrative of the human body (figures) that goes beyond formalism and sentimentality. Pantea Bayat desires to use design to force a confrontation with existence and with this exhibition, she presents a sensory interpretation of human concepts. She has reached a point where the body's movements are completely portrayed in a purely visual narrative, as shown by the number of figures in her previous collection. In this collection, the artist shifted from painting individual figures to displaying figure sketches (scroll of figures) by establishing a sequential arrangement that transcends traditional methods of pre-qualitative presentation such as perspective, to emphasize the importance of the body itself as a subject. In this exhibition, the audience encounters figures both individually and sequentially. This continuity aims to eliminate spatiotemporal assumptions by presenting a novel approach to spatialization. It enables the simultaneous comprehension of human emotional perceptions such as pain, suffering, insecurity, and vulnerability within the historical realm.
